MIGUEL LUPIANO

Miguel Lupiano was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais/Brazil. Today he lives in Brasília, Brazil’s capital. He started dealing with horses when he was a child in his grandfather’s farm. He became a professional horse trainer at the age of seventeen. Since then it has been more than thirty years working with all breed of horses. After all those years, looking for the best techniques to deal with horses, Miguel became the first Latin American Monty Roberts Certified Instructor in April 2015. He had an opportunity to participate in the Horse Sense and Soldiers Clinic, and to bring those experiences to help people use the horse and the Join Up method somehow. Miguel’s location, right in the center of Brazil, allows him to travel throughout the country, south and Central America, to give courses and clinics, horse training, lectures, presentations and demonstrations, advices, projects and staff training.

COURSES HORSEMANSHIP 101 COURSES JOIN UP Courses Montys Long Lining

CERTIFICATION COURSES

The Introductory and Advanced courses provide a strong foundation in Monty’s methods. They are valuable in their own right, but are also part of the process to become a Monty Roberts Instructor.

The Introductory course can be completed with any of our Certified Instructors worldwide. Some teach it in different formats, but the content and qualification are the same. For some students, the Introductory Course provides all of the skill they need to be successful with their horses. For those who want to further their skills, or become professionals in the industry, the next step is the Advanced course, which can only be completed at Flag Is Up Farms in California.

All course offer students effective tools to communicate using the horse’s own natural language, forming a partnership based on trust and communication rather than dominance. Included in your course is a subscription to Monty’s Equus Online University. This online learning tool will give you a great start prior to the course and a greater idea of what you will be learning and doing in the round pen during your course. The ongoing education that you will have with the online lessons will suggest exercises to continue with at home while working toward your exams.

Monty on Horse Sense & Healing

“The results are coming in and the outcome is fantastic. We have people laughing and getting back to a normal life who have been afflicted with PTSD for upwards of 35 years. All the way from Vietnam to Afghanistan, these injured warriors come home in a terrible state and need our help to get back to the civilized world. The horses are doing their work with incredible efficiency. The outcome has been so significant that I have decided to write a book about this work. I will tell you more about it in due time. For now, enjoy the extraordinary stories about horses healing people in the video.”
